Pricing

Two simple structures. One quote, built for your setup.

We don't publish a rate card, because a night track-and-trace desk and a senior carrier rep are not the same product and pretending otherwise would only mean quoting everyone the higher number. Here is exactly how the price is put together and what moves it.

Nova Onshore

One-time placement fee

A direct hire onto your payroll. The fee is agreed before the search starts and invoiced when the person starts — not when we send a résumé.

  • Targeted search inside the freight industry
  • Phone screening and freight-specific assessment
  • Reference checks before shortlist
  • Interview coordination and candidate management
  • Offer support through to start date
  • Replacement guarantee on the terms in your agreement
What moves the number

Why your quote isn’t the same as the next brokerage’s.

Five things change the price. Tell us where you sit on each and we can quote quickly.

Seniority of the role

A track-and-trace desk and an experienced carrier rep who negotiates against your margin targets sit at different ends of the range.

Shift and coverage

US daytime is the base. Overnight desks, weekend coverage and split shifts carry a premium, because that’s what it takes to keep good people on them.

Number of seats

Several seats on one account share onboarding and supervision, and the rate reflects that. One seat is always welcome as a starting point.

How specialised the work is

Standard brokerage process is one thing. Hazmat, reefer-heavy, cross-border or a bespoke in-house system means more training before the seat is productive.

Term and notice

Longer commitments and longer notice periods let us hire and train with more confidence, and that shows up in the rate.

Security requirements

Customer-imposed security addenda, specific tooling or extra background checks are all doable — they just need to be priced in rather than discovered later.

Comparing honestly

Compare against your loaded cost, not the salary.

When brokerages weigh an offshore seat against hiring locally, the fair comparison isn’t the base salary. It’s what that seat actually costs you once you add:

  • Employer payroll taxes and workers’ compensation
  • Health benefits and any retirement contribution
  • Paid time off, holidays and sick days
  • Desk space, computer, phone system and software seats
  • Recruiting cost and the weeks the seat sits empty
  • Ramp time before the person is producing
  • The cost of doing all of it again when they leave

An offshore seat rolls all of that into one monthly number. We’ll walk through the comparison with your real figures on the scoping call — including the cases where hiring locally is genuinely the better answer.

No percentage of margin, ever

Nova charges for staff, not for a cut of your freight. We are never paid a percentage of your load revenue or your margin, so there is no situation where we make more money by putting a load on a worse carrier.

Send the role, the shift and how many seats. Most quotes need one call and nothing else.
